What Supermemory is
Supermemory gives AI apps and agents a long-term memory. Its home page lists ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and Claude Code among the tools it works with, and its main offer is for teams building with it (Supermemory's site). It says it is SOC 2 certified.
There are two ways to use it. The hosted service: you add its server, mcp.supermemory.ai, to your app and sign in, with no key to copy (its setup page). The free plan includes $5 of credits a month and Pro is $19 a month (its pricing). Or the local version: Supermemory is open source, and one terminal command starts it on your computer, with your memory in a folder there (its GitHub page).
Where Zaaheen differs
- Setup without a terminal. Zaaheen is a normal installer for Windows and Mac. You connect each AI app from its Agents tab, and there are no commands to run.
- Encrypted on your computer. Zaaheen encrypts your memories on your own computer, and our servers never receive them. Supermemory's pages we read don't describe encryption for its local version.
- Made for people, not products. Supermemory's paid plans are written for developers building with memory. Zaaheen is one plan for one person: $5 a month or $48 a year after 30 days free.

What matters most in any memory is whether the right answer comes back, and whether the app admits it when the memory doesn't hold one. We asked Cursor five questions about facts another app had saved to a shared Zaaheen memory.
| Option | Questions |
|---|---|
| Recalled the fact | 3 of 5 |
| Said it didn't know | 1 of 5 |
| Avoided the trick | 1 of 5 |
Source: Zaaheen's own test, 5 June 2026, a development version of Zaaheen on Windows. Didn't know, correctly: a blood type the memory didn't hold. The trick: asked about the person's cat, it said they have a dog.
Where Supermemory is the better choice
If you build AI products, Supermemory offers an API, connectors and team plans that Zaaheen doesn't. If you're comfortable in a terminal, its local version is free and open source. And its free hosted plan lets you try a shared memory without paying anything.
Where Zaaheen falls short
- It runs on Windows and on Macs with Apple chips only, with no Linux or phone version.
- ChatGPT connects through the ChatGPT app for your computer, not in a web browser.
- Your memory lives on one computer; there is no sync between computers yet.
- It isn't open source, and after the 30-day trial there is no free plan.
