Zaaheen for Windows is coming soon. These steps are how it works once you can download it.

Download the installer for Windows (64-bit) and open it. Zaaheen 0.2.2 is a beta and has been tested on Windows 11. It is not available for macOS or Linux yet.

Two things happen while it installs:

• Windows says the publisher is unknown. Zaaheen is in beta, and the installer is not code-signed yet; signing comes before the full launch. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
• Windows asks for administrator permission. Zaaheen installs for everyone on the computer, so Windows asks once. It does not need administrator rights to run afterwards.

Choose Begin set up. Setting up takes about three minutes:

1. Your account. Choose Create an account or Sign in. This opens your web browser. Your 30-day free trial starts when you create your account, and no card is needed. Signing in never shares your memories with us.
2. Where to keep your memories. The usual place suits most people. You can change it later.
3. Your first AI app. Pick the app you use and follow the steps, or choose I'll connect one later.
4. Your first memory. Tell Zaaheen something your AI apps should know about you, then choose Keep this memory, or Skip for now.
5. Tidying up. Choose whether Zaaheen keeps your memory tidy on its own each day, then Finish setup.

The first time, Zaaheen also downloads what it needs to search your memories. It does this in the background, and you can use it while it finishes. Full guide: install and set up Zaaheen.

Choose Connect it for me. Claude asks you to install Zaaheen: click Install, and it's connected. It works in Claude's Chat and Cowork. Full guide: connect Claude.

In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Integrations, then Plugins, and add Zaaheen as an MCP server. Use it in ChatGPT's Work or Codex mode; its Chat mode cannot connect to apps on your computer. Full guide: connect ChatGPT.

Zaaheen connects over MCP, the standard many AI apps use. The Agents tab shows the setting for other apps too. An app shows in that tab while it is open and connected. Full guide: connect other AI apps.

On your own computer, encrypted. They are never uploaded. To keep them in another folder or on another drive, choose Move my memories…. Zaaheen closes, moves them, and opens again by itself. If it closes part-way, your memories stay safe where they were.

While you're away, Zaaheen organises what it has learned: it merges near-duplicates into one, resolves facts that contradict each other in favour of the newer one, and archives older memories you never use out of everyday recall. It never deletes them, and all of it happens on your computer.

It is off unless you turn it on: switch on Keep my vault tidy automatically and choose every day or once a week, and a time. If your computer was asleep or off at that time, it catches up later. To tidy straight away, choose Run consolidation now. The first time you turn it on, Zaaheen makes a one-time download of about 2.5 GB.

Choose Download my memories. It saves everything you've kept as one file. It's yours, whether or not you subscribe: the button stays available even after a trial or subscription ends.

Choose Delete everything, type DELETE to confirm, then choose Permanently delete everything. This destroys the encryption key and the memory files, so it cannot be undone, and no encrypted copy can be unlocked again. Files you saved with Download my memories are readable copies that are not affected, so delete them yourself. Deleting your memories does not cancel your subscription; cancel that separately with Manage subscription.

The first 30 days are free, with no card. After that it is $5 a month or $48 a year. To subscribe, choose Subscribe in the app: payment opens in your browser, and Zaaheen unlocks by itself once it goes through. To change your plan, update your card or cancel, choose Manage subscription.

If a trial or subscription ends, nothing is deleted. Everything stays on your computer, and you can still download it.

Choose Delete my account in the app. It offers to download your memories, deletes the memories on this computer, then opens a page where you confirm deleting your Zaaheen account. To delete only your account and keep your memories, use the Delete my account page on our website instead.

Deleting your account cancels any subscription straight away, with no refund of the time left. If you paid in the last 14 days, ask for your refund first under our Refund Policy.

Use Windows Settings, then Apps, then Installed apps, and uninstall Zaaheen. Uninstalling removes the app, not your memories, so reinstalling finds them again. To remove your memories as well, use Delete everything first.

Email customerservice@zaaheen.com. If something went wrong, choose Save activity record… and attach the file. The record contains none of your memories. Many problems have a quick fix in Fixing common problems.
